	Do YOU know how your student is doing in class?

Parents/Guardians you can now access your student's grades and attendance via the internet. Stop by your student's school office to fill out a STI InformationNow Parent Login Form. It is short and will only take a few minutes. When it is completed hand it back to us and we will email you your parent login as soon as we set up your account.

When: August 5-8; 10a.m.-12p.m.
Where: High School Baseball Diamond
Who: Boys 4th-12th Grade
Price: $20 per player

	South Beloit Elite Scholar

Recently, 8th Grader, Maggie Mitchell, took the ACT Explore and finished in top 1% in the country for her Writing Score! Good luck to Maggie and all of the other Junior High graduates next year at South Beloit High School!


	Civil War!

The 7th Graders at SBJH recently finished studying the Civil War and created a battlefield mural in Mr. Peterson's room. Looks Good! Have a great summer 7th Graders!

	State Qualifier!

7th Grader, Jalen Whelchel, recently qualified and competed in the IESA State Track and Field Tournament in Peoria, IL. Jalen threw the shotput and finished 36th at State! Way to go!!


	Scholastic Bowl

For the very first time, South Beloit Junior High has a Scholastic Team! They will be competing with local schools on general knowledge. We know they'll make us proud! From left to right: Maggie, Karyssa, Coach Weinberg, Emily, Coach Sanchez, Laila, and Akahllia.

This years 8th Grade Boys Basketball team, led by Coach Surprenant, placed 2nd in the Stephenson County Conference Tournament and finished as the Eastern Division Champions!

The 7th and 8th Grade Quiz Bowl Teams celebrate after the school's first ever quiz bowl meet versus Pecatonica.


	Food Drive

As a reward for reaching our District goal of collecting over 7,000 canned food items, teachers of Blackhawk Elementary and South Beloit Junior High were pied in the face. Good work students!


	Bowling at Viking Lanes

As a reward for excellent behavior for the 1st quarter, Junior High and Blackhawk Elementary school spent an hour bowling at nearby Viking Lanes. Breanna, an 8th grader, is caught aiming for a turkey!


	Football Parents' Night 2012

To finish out a great season, the 8th Graders won 50-0 in an attempt to defend their conference title! Coach Peterson and Coach Radke are very proud of both teams! Way to go!


	SOBOS Paint Orangeville Red!

During the football season, about 45 loyal SOBOS with red and white war paint filled a bus to Orangeville to support the players. Both teams won! Thanks for the support!
