WHO ARE WE?
South Beloit High School is a small community school of just over three hundred students located near the Illinois/Wisconsin border in South Beloit, IL. Surrounded by larger school districts, we offer many advantages that only a smaller school can. We are a close-knit community where the staff takes a personal interest in the academic and social development of all students. In addition, there are many opportunities for students to participate in sports and clubs where they have the opportunity to take on leadership roles.

Students, Please be aware
that this friday nights football game Vs. Warren High School will begin
at 7pm. There will be NO JV game friday night. Instead the JV team
will play Monday Sept. 6th at 5:30pm

Freshman Meeting
|
|
There will be another
Freshmen meeting on Tuesday, September 7th. At this meeting, Freshmen
will vote on the nominations that were made at the previous meeting for
Homecoming Prince and Princess and vote on the nominations for
President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary. We will also try to
finalize our plans for the Freshmen float for homecoming. Please come
to Room 305 at lunch time. Please bring a sack lunch.

FBLA Meeting
|
|
If you are interested in
joining FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) please come to a
meeting in Room 123 after school this Thursday, September 2. Please see

Renaissance Program
|
|
The Renaissance program will
resume next week. The following awards will be given out.
Weekly attendance awards - one student's name is randomly selected from
the entire student body. If that student has been present and has no
tardies for the previous 5 school days they win $10. If the student has
been absent or tardy the money carries over to the next week.
Go to the Head of the Line Coupons - five students' names are selected
randomly each Monday. If the student has no Fs he/she receives a coupon
to go to the head of the lunch line for the entire week.
Student of the Month Parking - one student's name is randomly selected
from the list of students with parking permits. If the student selected
has had no referrals in the previous month, they are allowed to park in
the reserved spot in front of the school for the entire month.
Conference Attendance Reward - any student attending conferences with
their parents are entered into a drawing. The winner of the drawing
receives $25.

Appointments are being
filled for the September 7, 2010 dental screening and cleaning day. If
you do not have dental care insurance or are covered by Illinois AllKids
insurance you are eligible. Appointments are limited and consent needs
to be completed to secure an appointment. Contact 815-389-9252 to
